The night air over Old Trafford felt heavy, electric, and charged with thunder.
Rain fell in thick, diagonal sheets, glistening under the giant floodlights that illuminated the dark Manchester sky. Outside the stadium, tens of thousands of fans marched through the streets, flares blinding red against the mist, singing at the top of their lungs until the ground beneath the concrete concourses trembled.
UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: SEMI-FINAL, SECOND LEG
MANCHESTER UNITED VS. BAYERN MUNICH
First Leg: 2-2 | Old Trafford
Inside the United dressing room, the air was dead silent.
The smell of wintergreen oil, rain-soaked wool, and damp turf was overpowering. No music played. No phones clicked.
Erik ten Hag stood in front of the white tactics board, his coat dripping wet from his pre-match walk across the pitch. He held no chalk, no markers. He looked around the room, taking in the eyes of his players: Casemiro, Bruno, Lisandro, Shaw, and Llori Anna Farris.
"We do not need to talk about tactics tonight," Ten Hag said, his voice dropping to a harsh, gravelly whisper that made every man lean forward. "You know every pattern. You know every movement. You know how Thomas Tuchel plays. You know how Davies recovers. You know how Kane drops into the midfield."
Ten Hag walked over to Llori, stopping right in front of the seventeen-year-old.
"The first leg in Munich was an introduction," Ten Hag said, staring straight into Llori’s eyes. "Tonight is the verdict. They believe their history gives them the right to play in the Final. Show them that history means nothing inside this house."
Llori pulled his white socks up over his knees, double-knotting his boots. He felt no nervousness—only an icy, crystalline focus. His mind had already processed the grid.
The tunnel was a pressure cooker of tension.
Beside Llori stood Alphonso Davies, staring straight ahead, his jaw tight. Thomas Müller was muttering in German, clapping his hands rhythmically, while Harry Kane adjusted his captain's armband.
As the teams stepped onto the grass, seventy-five thousand voices exploded into the night!
“THEEEEE CHAMPIONS!”
The iconic anthem boomed through the stadium, swallowed almost instantly by a terrifying, deafening roar from the Stretford End. Giant red tifo banners unfurled across the stands, displaying the words: OUR THEATER. OUR DESTINY.
PIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!
The referee blew his whistle, and the war began.
From the first second, Bayern Munich played with ruthless, German efficiency. They did not retreat. Tuchel had ordered a brutal, man-marking press that squeezed United inside their own thirty-yard box.
In the 7th minute, Alphonso Davies made his intentions clear.
Llori received a high, floating ball on the left wing. Before Llori’s feet touched the ground, Davies charged in like a bullet, hitting Llori shoulder-to-shoulder with immense force!
THACK!
Llori crashed into the wet grass of the touchline!
Davies looked down at him, his face cold. "Not tonight, kid."
Llori didn't utter a word. He pushed himself up off the muddy turf, wiped the rainwater from his eyes, and assumed his position.
His speed isn't the weapon tonight, Llori observed instantly. Tuchel told him to use his mass. He's trying to physically exhaust me early.
The first half was a high-speed, heart-stopping tactical war.
In the 22nd minute, Harry Kane dropped deep into the midfield, drew Lisandro Martínez out of position, and delivered a sublime, fifty-yard curling pass to Leroy Sané on the right wing. Sané cut inside and cracked a venomous left-footed shot that hit the inside of Onana’s far post and bounced out!
Old Trafford gasped in collective horror!
United fought back through quick, incisive transitions. In the 34th minute, Llori used a false-step hesitation to trick Joshua Kimmich, slipping a pass into Bruno Fernandes, whose thirty-yard rocket was tipped over the crossbar by Manuel Neuer at full stretch!
By half-time, the score remained 0-0 (2-2 on aggregate). The atmosphere inside the stadium was so tense that fans could barely breathe.
Inside the dressing room, Ten Hag didn't waste time on speeches.
"Davies is playing on the edge of a booking," Ten Hag pointed out on the tactical screen. "He is over-committing his shoulder because he knows he can't match your sixty-degree turn if you catch him static. Llori, stop taking the ball with your back to him. Drag him deep into the half-space, then use the wet turf."
Llori nodded, taking a deep breath of oxygen from an inhaler, his muscles warm and responsive. "The wet turf... slide-release."
"Yes," Ten Hag said. "Give him the physical contact he wants, then remove the resistance."
The second half resumed under a torrential downpour. The pitch became lightning fast, the ball skimming across the grass like a hockey puck.
In the 59th minute, Bayern struck a devastating blow.
Jamal Musiala glided past Casemiro in midfield, drawing Harry Maguire out before sliding a clever short pass to Harry Kane inside the box. Kane didn't hesitate—he swept a clinical, first-time finish into the bottom left corner.
GOAL! Manchester United 0, Bayern Munich 1 (Agg: 2-3)!
A heavy, suffocating silence fell over Old Trafford! Bayern players swarmed Kane near the corner flag as Tuchel pumped his fists wildly on the technical line!
With thirty minutes remaining, Manchester United was heading out of the Champions League.
Ten Hag immediately made a move: off came Casemiro, on came Alejandro Garnacho, switching United to an all-out 4-2-4 attack!
"NO PANIC!" Bruno Fernandes screamed at his teammates, clapping his hands furiously as they lined up at the center circle. "NO PANIC! WE MOVE NOW!"
The response was immediate and ferocious.
United threw everything forward, sustained by the roaring energy of seventy-five thousand desperate fans.
In the 71st minute, the tactical blueprint bore fruit.
Kobbie Mainoo won a tackle against Musiala, instantly firing a sharp pass to Llori on the left flank.
Alphonso Davies sprinted in to deliver another crushing physical tackle.
This time, Llori didn't try to absorb the contact or turn away. Remembering Ten Hag's advice, Llori invited the contact—leaning his weight directly into Davies' chest as the ball arrived.
The second Davies braced to push him off, Llori executed a Slide-Release Roll—letting his own body yield completely to Davies' push, using the slick wet turf to spin 180 degrees around Davies' back while hooking the ball with his heel!
Davies' momentum carried him two yards out of bounds on the slippery wet grass! He was completely wiped out of the play!
Llori exploded into the open penalty area!
Dayot Upamecano came sliding in with a lunging tackle to stop the danger!
Llori didn't shoot! With ice water running through his veins, Llori used his right instep to perform a brilliant Rabona-chip over Upamecano’s outstretched leg!
The ball floated softly over the defender's body, landing perfectly on the forehead of Rasmus Højlund!
Højlund smashed the header into the roof of the net past Manuel Neuer!
BOOM!
GOAL! Manchester United 1, Bayern Munich 1 (Agg: 3-3)!
THE STADIUM ERUPTED LIKE AN ACTIVE VOLCANO! Seventy-five thousand fans leaped into the air as Højlund screamed at the top of his lungs, pounding the badge on his chest!
"AN UNBELIEVABLE MOMENT OF ARTISTRY!" the commentator shrieked! "LLORI ANNA FARRIS TURNS ALPHONSO DAVIES INSIDE OUT ON THE WET TURF AND DELIVERS A RABONA ASSIST FOR THE AGGREGATE EQUALIZER!"
The remaining fifteen minutes were pure, unadulterated madness. Both teams were exhausted, running on pure adrenaline as the rain beat down relentlessly.
80th minute... 85th minute... 89th minute...
Extra time was looming like a dark shadow.
In the 92nd minute—the second minute of four added stoppage time—Bayern pushed forward for one final attack. Sané’s cross was cut out by a heroic, flying header from Lisandro Martínez!
The ball fell to Bruno Fernandes at the edge of United’s box.
Bruno didn't clear it. He looked up and saw Llori already sprinting forty yards down the left wing, leaving Davies in his dust!
Bruno unleashed a seventy-yard, pinged diagonal ball that cut through the pouring rain!
Llori brought the ball down with the outside of his left boot without breaking stride—a masterclass of directional control!
Only Manuel Neuer stood between Llori and history, rushing out off his line to narrow the angle, spreading his arms and legs wide in his famous wall stance!
Davies was sprinting back behind Llori, desperation in his eyes!
Llori didn't take a hard shot. He saw Neuer’s weight shifting slightly to his right leg, anticipating a far-post curl.
Llori subtly opened his hips, faked the far-post shot, and instead executed a razor-sharp Toe-Poke Drag—dripping the ball low, flat, and soft right through Manuel Neuer’s nutmeg gap!
The ball rolled smoothly across the wet grass... hit the base of the inside post... and trickled into the net!
SLIDE... SWISH!
GOAL! Manchester United 2, Bayern Munich 1 (Agg: 4-3)!
TIME STOOD STILL!
Then, Old Trafford collapsed into pure, unbridled, ecstatic chaos!
Llori ran toward the corner flag, sliding on his knees across the drenched turf, his arms spread wide as eighty thousand voices screamed his name into the Manchester night!
The entire bench—players, coaches, physios—sprinted down the touchline, tackling Llori onto the grass in an overwhelming pile of red shirts!
"IT IS DESTINY! IT IS ABSOLUTE DESTINY!" the commentator roared, his voice cracking with emotion! "SEVENTEEN-YEAR-OLD LLORI ANNA FARRIS SCORES IN THE 93RD MINUTE TO SEND MANCHESTER UNITED TO THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL!"
PII-PII-PIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!
The referee blew the final whistle!
Full Time: Manchester United 2, Bayern Munich 1 (Agg: 4-3).
The Bayern players collapsed onto the grass in tears and disbelief. Manuel Neuer sat against his post, staring at the pitch.
Llori stood in the center circle, drenched in rain, breathing deeply. Lisandro Martínez lifted him onto his shoulders, presenting him to the roaring Stretford End as chants of "LLORI! LLORI! LLORI!" echoed into the night sky.
Erik ten Hag walked onto the pitch, pushing through the crowd. He stood before Llori, looking at the young boy who had mastered the grid under the highest pressure on earth.
Ten Hag didn't say anything at first. He simply pulled Llori into a fierce, tight embrace, slapping his back hard.
When Ten Hag pulled back, his eyes were shining under the floodlights. "You did it, Llori. You read the whole game."
Llori wiped the rain from his face, looking up at the glowing scoreboard above the stands.
MANCHESTER UNITED ARE GOING TO WEMBLEY.
The Final awaited. The ultimate stage was set. And Llori Anna Farris was ready for the final step.
