How to publish a web novel for free

Step 1: Create a free account

Sign up with a username and password. Your public profile page is created automatically: that is where readers can see your books and follow you.

Step 2: Set up your book

Choose Write a Book and fill in the details readers see first:

• Title and author name: keep the title short and memorable.
• Genre and tags: pick the closest genre, then add a few tags people actually search for (for example isekai, slow burn, progression).
• Blurb: two or three sentences that end on a question or a hook. This text also becomes your search description.
• Cover: upload a portrait image (about 5:7). Books with covers stand out on shelves.

Step 3: Add chapters

You have two ways to add chapters:

• Write in the editor. It autosaves, has a formatting toolbar (bold, italic, underline), lets you insert images, and supports an author's note and a content warning per chapter.
• Paste & Split. Already have a manuscript? Paste it and it is cut at your chapter headings (“Chapter 1”, “ตอนที่ 1”) or every N words, never in the middle of a sentence. Step 4: Publish when you are ready

Each chapter is either a draft (only you can see it) or published. Publish the first few chapters together, because readers decide whether to stay within the first three. If a chapter contains mature themes, mark it as mature so readers get a confirmation first.

Step 5: Share it and grow a following

• Use the Share buttons on your book and chapters: links show a preview image and a short hook when pasted into Facebook, X, LINE or Discord.
• Readers can follow you from your profile and are notified when you publish a chapter, so a steady update schedule pays off.
• Your dashboard shows views for each book so you can see what readers respond to.
• Answer comments. Readers who get a reply tend to come back.

Tips from what works for web serials

• Open the first chapter with a scene, not a summary.
• Pick a realistic schedule (for example two chapters a week) and keep it.
• Chapters of roughly 1,500–3,000 words are comfortable to read on a phone.
• Say thank you when someone comments or shares. Your first regulars matter most.
