Chapter 50: The Wall Street Fortress (Part 2)

A jagged bolt of lightning split the black Manhattan sky, illuminating the marble pillars of the Stock Exchange in a stark, violent flash.

Down on Broad Street, Tony Stark adjusted his earpiece inside the command tent. "FRIDAY, status on the EMP grid?"

"Containment field is fully charged and operating at peak frequency, Boss," FRIDAY’s voice hummed smoothly. "Radius: three blocks. Any unauthorized electronic pulse within the perimeter will be crushed instantly."

"Good," Tony muttered, stepping out into the rain with his Nanotech Gauntlet glowing. "Let’s see the clown hack his way through pure magnetic force."

Five stories above the street, standing right on the slippery marble ledge of the Federal Hall building, Jack threw his arms wide to the storm. Rain soaked through his royal-purple suit, plastering his white hair to his forehead, but his bloodshot eyes burned with an terrifying, electric purple glow.

[SKILL ACTIVATED: JOKER'S REALITY DISTORTION]

Target: Localized EMP Containment Field (Stark Tech)

Effect: Altering sub-quantum polarity via [50.0% SYNCHRONIZATION]!

A low, vibrating resonance hummed through the air—not through the radio waves, but directly through the physical bedrock of Wall Street.

"Tony..." Natasha’s voice suddenly broadcasted, not from a hacked server, but echoing through every S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicle’s PA system simultaneously via [The Royal Flush Command]. "You built a very impressive cage. But you forgot who holds the key."

Jack leaned forward into the abyss, his raspy voice cutting through the roar of the rain like a rusted blade.

"REVERSE THE POLARITY, BOYS AND GIRLS! LETS GIVE 'EM A SHOCK!"

Jack slammed his hand down onto the brass flag pole mounted to the marble wall.

BZZZZZZZZT-KABOOOM!

Instead of blocking external electronics, the massive EMP grid generated by Tony’s own generators suddenly inverted! The localized electromagnetic pulse didn't radiate outward—it collapsed inward with violent, exponential force, cascading directly through S.H.I.E.L.D.’s own fortified tactical network!

SPARK-POP-CRACKLE!

Every automated Mark XLIV defense turret on the roofs sparked violently, their targeting visors flashing bright neon pink before short-circuiting! High-voltage electrical arcs shot across the barricades, frying the S.H.I.E.L.D. troop carriers' engines and shutting down every floodlight on Broad Street in a single, deafening fraction of a second!

"WHAT THE—!" Tony yelled, his Nanotech Gauntlet flickering wildly as the inverted EMP feedback surged through his own suit's systems. "FRIDAY! REPORT!"

"System failure! Local grid inverted!" FRIDAY’s voice glitched frantically. "The EMP field has overloaded our own perimeter defenses!"

In the sudden, pitch-black darkness of the rainstorm, a single spotlight clicked on—shining down from the roof of Federal Hall.

Jack stood illuminated in the beam, spinning a crowbar like a baton while Felicia leaped down onto the roof of an armored carrier, using her claws to slice through the fried lock of the main vault access hatch!

Natasha dropped lightly beside Jack, her twin pistols drawn, providing flawless cover fire into the dark street as S.H.I.E.L.D. agents scrambled in total electronic darkness.

Through their shared neural link, Jack’s maniacal, joyous laughter echoed inside Natasha and Felicia’s minds, igniting their adrenaline to absolute maximum.

"VAULT'S OPEN, GIRLS!" Jack shrieked happily, sliding down the marble banner rope straight toward the entrance of Vault Zero! "TIME TO ERASE HALF A TRILLION DOLLARS! HAHAHAHA!"
