The small boat with all four of us, Luffy, Kolas, Zoro and Nami, raised its sail and sailed fast across the wide sea.
"Ugh, with a boat this small, we will sink before we get to the Grand Line," Nami said, checking the map and sighing for a long time.
"We need a bigger ship. And we need a cook too. I want meat," Luffy shouted happily with his hand up.
"Rowing is not a big deal, but when will the wound on my butt get better, Kolas?" Zoro sat with a sour face, rubbing his butt, and turned to attack Kolas with words.
"Come on, mosshead," Kolas said, moving his eyebrows with an annoying smile. "My laser helps your blood flow. You say it hurts, but you walk a lot better now, right?"
"Better, my ass. I jump every time I sit down," Zoro said with angry eyes, and pulled his sword out a little.
Nami looked at the two of them and sighed even harder. "Can you two stop arguing about butts already? You are both going crazy."
A few days later, our small boat reached Gecko Island, which has Syrup Village. It is a quiet island with green hills.
As soon as the four of us walked onto the island,
Thud. Thud. Thud.
A giant homemade pirate flag went up on the cliff, and a loud shout came down from above.
"Stop right there, evil pirates. This island is under the protection of Captain Usopp and my army of eight thousand pirates."
A long nose came out from behind a tree, and three little kids stood next to him holding brooms and trying to look scary.
"Oh, an army of eight thousand? That's amazing," Luffy said, eyes wide and mouth open.
"Eight thousand, my ass. All I see is one guy and three kids," Kolas said with his hands in his pockets, and looked up at the hill with his eyebrows raised. This was Usopp, the troublemaker of the Straw Hat crew.
"That's a very good lie," Nami shouted up at him.
Usopp got caught and started to panic. "Fine. Then take this. Star Shot."
Usopp pulled back his slingshot and aimed at us. Luffy saw that, smiled big, put his hands on his hips, and spoke in a calm but very cool voice.
"When you pull out a weapon, you have to be ready to risk your life too," Luffy said, pulling his straw hat down a little over his eyes.
"Yes. A weapon is not something for scaring people," Zoro added, holding the handle of the sword at his waist, looking cool.
Usopp's face went pale, and sweat came out all over. "You, you talk like real pirates."
"Because we are real pirates," Luffy laughed. "And I know your dad too. Yasopp."
"What? My dad?" Usopp's eyes went as big as goose eggs, and his face changed right away.
After they got along, Usopp took Luffy and the others to eat at a restaurant in the village. Usopp told them stories about the village, including Kaya, a rich but weak young lady who lived in a big fancy mansion on the hill.
"Kaya is sad because her parents died. So I secretly climb the tree every day and tell her fun lies about adventures, to make her happier," Usopp said with a proud smile.
"Wow, you are a good person after all, long nose," Kolas said. He walked over, patted Usopp on the shoulder, and whispered in his ear, "But be careful with the butler in that mansion. His face looks strange and hard to trust."
"Huh? You mean Mr. Klahadore? He is a very good butler. He has taken good care of Kaya for three years," Usopp said with a puzzled face.
Haha, good, my ass. That is Captain Kuro, the bad one, Kolas thought to himself with an annoying smile.
"Okay, let's just wait and see," Kolas said, and sent a wink to Nami. "Now, my lady Nami, this village has a mansion this big, so they must be rich. Let's find a way to ask that young lady for a bigger ship."
"That's a good idea, but if you act cool again, I will kick you off the hill," Nami said in a low voice.
"You are so mean, beautiful," Kolas said with a sad face.
And so, the Straw Hat crew was about to step into an evil plan hiding in Syrup Village.
